The California Film Commission (CFC), administers the California Film & Television Tax Credit program, whose Career Readiness initiative can expose high school students to film and television occupations.  In July,  the CFC will launch a pilot skilled training program, aimed at underserved post-secondary individuals seeking the training needed to enter the business. Attendees will gain an understanding of the career readiness and new pilot skilled training programs and leave with a clearer idea of how the film commission and its training partners are seeking to help high school students and underserved individuals gain the skills and access needed to work in the Film/T.V. production industry.
